Mommy News Blog

Since the beginning of A Mother’s Boutique I have meet many wonderful women. From the jittery first time mom to the seasoned veteran, the loving aunt or sister to the beautiful expectant mom and even those who are seeking gifts for a loved one. They all had one thing in common – confusion.

Breastfeeding is not always an easy task for a mother to accomplish. Confusion, stress, frustration, worry and even doubt come along for the ride. I am often asked similar questions by women who are beginning their breastfeeding journey. It was after being asked the same questions again and again that I knew I could do more for these women besides supporting them with the tools, but also the knowledge to make breastfeeding a fulfilling, bonding experience.

I hope you find our tips, tricks, and advice helpful for yourself and for the breastfeeding community around you. Feel free to contact us anytime with suggested topics.

A Mother’s Boutique

A Mother’s Boutique is a mom-owned business. My son was born in July 2005. After a 4-month maternity leave, I went back to work and survived for nearly 1 year working in corporate America before I decided that the long hours in the office and the out-of-town travel associated with my job were too much for me. In October 2006, I quit my corporate job to stay home with my son.

After a few months of being at home, I decided that I wanted to help other new mothers to breastfeed. Breastfeeding isn’t always as easy as one might expect – and I wanted to help as many new mothers as possible to be successful in their efforts to breastfeed their babies.

When I was a new mother, I had a difficult time finding quality nursing clothing and products that would enable me to be successful at breastfeeding. I realized that this “unmet need” that I felt was also something that many other mothers also experienced. Coming from a business background, I decided this was something that I could use my corporate skills to develop a solution for. I realized that I would be able to meet my personal goals of spending more time with my son, while achieving professional goals of helping other new mothers succeed with breastfeeding. This led me to start up A Mother’s Boutique.

A Mother’s Boutique is focused on helping new mothers breastfeed by providing all of the tools that new mothers need in one convenient location. From nursing tops to swim suits to nursing bras and breast pumpsA Mother’s Boutique carries everything that a new mother needs. I have selected the highest quality and most functional items (as well as many of my own personal favorites!) from several different designers to make sure that mothers shopping here get the best selection available. Based on my experience as a working mother, a stay-at-home mother, a work-at-home mother and now a self-employed mother, I have chosen items that will work for different kinds of mothers who are in different personal and professional parts of motherhood. I have chosen stylish business wear for the mother who is pumping at work or meeting her baby at lunch for nursing, as well as comfortable casual wear for mothers who are on the go. I have also made sure to include stylish casual and dress wear for all types of occasions – for dressing up and dressing down.

A Mother’s Boutique carries nursing clothing, bras and accessories from a wide variety of quality and fashionable designers. Feel free to explore our selection by visiting the BOUTIQUE link at the top of this page.
