Interview With A Four-Year-Old

I was reading Mommy Melee’s blog the other day and I was inspired by her interview with her 4-year-old son. So I decided to conduct the same (nearly the same anyway) interview with my 4-year-old son. Feel free to interview your own children – the answers you get may surprise you and I’m sure they will give you a good chuckle!

What is something I always say to you?

“I love you, I love you, I love you!”

What makes me happy?

“When bat dog is near”

Later…

“I don’t know, going to your store?”

What else?

“Snuggles!! And snuggles from Tiger? And how about a kiss from Tiger!”

What makes me sad?

“hmmm…I don’t know, what?”

How do I make you laugh?

I don’t know….Is that how?”

“Tickling me!…tickle tickle tickle!”

What do you think I was like as a child?

“Me, but with curly hair! And black hair but brown hair when you were a baby”

How old am I?

“How old?”

How tall am I?

“I don’t know.”

What is my favorite thing to do?

“I don’t know, go to the zoo”

What do I do when you’re not around?

“Go to your store”

If I become famous, what will it be for?

“I don’t know”

Later…

“To fight super villians!”

What am I really good at?

“hmmm….I don’t know….DRIVING!”

What am I not really good at?

“I don’t know – would you write down what it is?”

“Cooking on the grill?!”

What is my job?

“Work on the computer”

“A Mother’s Boutique”

What is my favorite food?

“I don’t know – would you write down what it is?”

What makes you proud of me?

“Eating the leaves of a strawberry plant!”

That makes you proud of me?

“No, I was just kidding! Giving me strawberries!”

What makes me proud of you?

“When I’m a good boy”

What do you and I do together?

“Go to the zoo”

How are we the same?

“I don’t know”

Can you think of something?

“The hair’s not the same!”

How are you and I different?

“Because we have different color hair”

How do you know that I love you?

“Because I can see your belly – Can I see your heart?”

{This one deserves and explanation – I always used to tell my son that I love him with my whole heart and he would say “I love you with my whole belly – it’s bigger than my heart” – so now when we say “I love you” to each other, we say “I love you with my whole belly!”}

What is one thing you wish you could change about me?

“I wish I could change your hair to brown and your eye brows brown”

Why?

“So you would be like me”

What do you wish you could go and do with me?

“hmmm….HAWAII!”

What is my favorite thing to do?

“Snuggles!”

What is your favorite thing to do?

“Play with my legos!”
