Extended Breastfeeding Mom To Be Featured On 20-20

What is extended breastfeeding? I’m sure you have an idea but what comes to your mind?

Did you know that locally many of the moms consider breastfeeding after just 6-months ‘extended breastfeeding’!

Scheduled for Friday October 31st on 20/20 is Robyn Roche-Paull. Robyn is a proud mom to 3 beautiful kids and also a navy wife and veteran. She recently sent out a notice to the La Leche League and we just had to share with you-

To ALL my family, friends and LLLL’s,

The producer of the 20/20 show who asked me to appear on the segment about
Extended Breastfeeding (with Kathryn Dettwyler) called me this afternoon to
say it looks like next Friday the 31st will be the air date. That is still
tentative, but she felt it was pretty good that it would air then. Of
course I’ll have to put it on the DVR as it is Halloween night and I am
hosting a party here with kids from the neighborhood and can’t watch it.

So I am letting you all know so that you can watch if you wish. I have NOT
seen the final cut of it yet, and I can only hope that it was done well. I
tried very hard to get good sound bites in there and not leave them with
anything that they could sensationalize or otherwise take out of context.
My kids were also interviewed and lots of footage of us doing normal family
stuff was taken, as well as some shots of Tiernan nursing.

Anyway-My LLL friends in San Diego and SoCal- please feel free to pass this
info onto anyone you think would like to watch and I miss you all!

To everyone- please let me know what you think, after you watch it and keep
good thoughts that it came out well! I am as nervous now as I was when they
were actually filming it!!! I will let you know if the air date changes.

Blessings,

Robyn Roche-Paull
LLLL, IBCLC, BS:MCH
MOM to 3 Kids (12, 9, 5)
Proud Navy Wife & Veteran

So set your Tivo, your DVR, your VCR as many have some little witches, fairies, superheros, and cowboys to take out for the sweet treats. Please come back after you’ve seen it and let us know your thoughts- We’ll post ours after we have seen it as well!
