Recently, there’s been some national discussion about the Affordable Care Act and its provisions for lactation supplies–the bill doesn’t specify what type of pump the insurance plans should provide.

Would You Like to See Breastfeeding on a Postage Stamp?

We’ve got stamps commemorating all sorts of things, from Mark Twain to Mother Theresa to the Lone Ranger. Postage stamps are a pretty public item–what a great tool to raise awareness of breastfeeding! Lots of other countries have stamps.

To Cover Or Not To Cover…

I was reminded of this by a very disrespectful photo that I saw on facebook earlier this week. It said something to the effect of “A mother who covers her child is sending the message that she is ashamed of that child.” And then it encouraged you to breastfeed in public.
