I discovered Melinda G because my friend Amy recommended them to me. Amy has had 4 kids and breastfed each one for 1.5 to 2 years – so when it came to nursing bras, she had a lot of experience! When she told me about how wonderful the Melinda G bras were, I immediately checked them out and added them to my store. I contacted Melinda and she was super nice to work with and she made adding a line of bras to my store so easy! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found this line!
My absolute favorite nursing bra of all time is the Melinda G Tee-Shirt Underwire Nursing Bra. This bra is fantastic for a number of reasons.
1) It is an underwire bra that accommodates a large bust.
2) It has a padded underwire, making it the most comfortable underwire bra I have ever worn.
3) It has 3 nursing clips, so you can adjust your cup size to fit your breasts – if they are fuller in the AM vs. the PM or at 3 months post-partum vs 8 months post-partum – this bra will continue to fit you.
But don’t take my word for it, visit our Boutique Store and check out all of the great customer testimonials about this bra. There are lots of moms who love it as much as I do! This bra is so fantastic – my mother (who clearly is not nursing) is wearing this bra!
In addition to a number of fantastic bras, Melinda G also makes a pretty fantastic nursing camisole! This cami is called the Cami Sutra and it is brand new! I have to be honest – originally I had no intention of stocking it in my store. So Melinda sent me one to try out and I am a true convert! I now have them on order for my store (they will be in stock in a few weeks!). Let me tell you why I love this cami so much and what sets it apart from other nursing camis/tanks that are available.
- This cami has a FULL BRA inside. Not a shelf bra, but the same bra that is in Melinda G’s best selling Tee-Shirt Soft-Cup Nursing Bra – so you will get excellent support and won’t need to wear another bra underneath of it.
- This cami looks like a tank top, not an undershirt or bra – so you will feel comfortable wearing it as a shirt.
- This cami has an adjustable back closure to the bra inside of it – so you can adjust the fit of the bra to fit your body – independent of how the cami fits you as a top!
- This cami will fit you when you are pregnant and when you are nursing – so you can keep wearing it for breastfeeding after the baby arrives!
- And most important to me – this cami fits like a shirt – it isn’t too tight – so it looks great on everyone – you don’t have to be super thin or have a flat stomach to look great in this one! Just take a look at the photo of me in it. I never wear tanks or camis because they always accentuate my “rolls” at my mid-riff, but I love the way this one looks on me! And the support is AWESOME as well!

If i won this cami i would gift it to my best friend (also a nursing mama) for Christmas. I think this cami might be ideal for her. She is very busty but has a small torso. She complains constantly that she has never been able to find a nursing tank that fits. The cups just have a shelf bra and aren’t supportive enough. If it does have real bra cups, the sizing doesn’t go up large enough to fit her. If it comes in large cup sizes then then band isn’t adjustable- so if the cups fit the band sags (or if she buys the correct band size then she’s busting out of the cups). This tank sounds like it might be perfect for her. I’d feel like a hero if i managed to find her a nursing tank that fits correctly!

My idea nursing tank would be something durable and easy to unlatch with one hand! I like these because it has full support – which I need.

Hmm! My ideal would be one that actually supports your breasts. Every nursing cami/tankini I’ve tried does not support you at all. I’d like something like the Skinies with a built in bra, long enough and trim to keep your belly held in, low cut to wear under everything and comes in all colors!
I think I would like this because it has the adjustable back, it looks like it would give you a lot more support than most!
This Cami sounds like my ideal nursing cami!! I have been looking for one that has an actual bra and not just a shelf like most of them do. I want more support then most give.

The Cami sounds wonderful! I like how it has the support of a wire without an actual wire.
My ideal nursing tank is something I can wear under my shirt, and has durable straps that don’t stretch out too much over time. The built in bra sounds great!

My ideal nursing tank is one that supports my chest- I’m well endowed and need something that’s going to keep me supported and covered. Since this cami has a full bra, it would work great for me!

An ideal tank would not slide around, I am having trouble with one that encloses the breast and I always have to move the inner layer over. It is supportive, moreso than others, and doesn’t give me uniboob.
Also a bra that unclips easily. This one looks very supportive.

My favorite nursing tanks are ones that are thick enough to stand alone as tops. Fun colors are nice too. And easy clasps – nothing too complicated. And it must be comfortable with no scratchy parts. This one sounds good because of the adjustable cups. What a clever idea.

I need a good nursing tank. Something that is long and doesn’t ride up my belly, easy to unhook and rehook and provides good support and coverage.

I think this one sounds great because it has the bra closure in the back so that can fit independently of the how the tank fits. I think support would be one of the most important things.

my ideal nursing tank is anything that’s like the melinda g tshirt nursing bra! seriously, it is by far one of the best nursing bras i’ve owned, i can only imagine the tank is a dream.
my ideal would have a built in bra and would be pretty long. I LOVE this one b/c of the built in bra!
A good nursing tank is something that doesn’t ride up on my belly and can be latched with one hand.
I’m looking for a nursing tank that I can wear on its own, but doesn’t look too obvious under a shirt (no nursing cutouts or ruching). I think this may be it, since it’s not too tight I can adjust it to fit my getting-back-down-to-normal figure.
Actually this cami looks ideal. I love that it has a full bra and isn’t tight!

I think a nursing cami should have adjustable straps (I don’t like tanks dipping too low), be fitted, and made of a durable material that wicks moisture. Is that too demanding? 😉

The ideal nursing cami would also be soft. I would really like this one b/c I like that it is not too tight. I prefer loose clothing for modesty reasons.

my ideal nursing tank is one that i can wear as a shirt without having to find another clean and matching shirt to cover it up with. It has a little bit of stretch to it. The seam where the shoulder strap meets the shirt body is covered and not irritating. The clasp is easy to manage with one hand. Also, it would not be obvious that i wear cloth nursing pads under it.

First of all, I have to say that Melinda G bras are my FAVORITE nursing bras. They are truly the best of the best – comfortable, attractive, and supportive.
Secondly, I absolutely love that this cami has a FULL nursing bra built-in. As a well-endowed mama, I tend to steer clear of camis with “shelf bras” because they lack support…but this cami sounds different than any of the other nursing camisoles that I have tried.
Thirdly, My ideal nursing tank would be:
* soft
* stretchable
* loose enough to deemphasize a “flabby” middle, yet fitted enough to be attractive
* machine-washable
* a high enough cut for me to feel modest wearing it in public (no cleavage, please)
* a full built-in nursing bra

My ideal cami would be fully supportive and long enough that it doesn’t expose my stomach if I raise my arms. I would like this one because it has a full bra inside and fits like a shirt.

I have been looking for nursing camis lately. This one sounds like it would be perfect, since it is more than just a shelf bra. I need some real support under there!

This cami IS my ideal nursing bra/cami because I don’t have to wear anything under it. It offers support and comfort which is something all nursing women look for in their tops!

This tank sounds like my dream nursing tank! I have a very large bust and do not like showing off my postpartum belly. Most tanks I have worn in the past I only feel comfortable wearing at home when I know we won’t be having any visitors. Because of my large bust I need a lot of support from my bra that shelf bras just don’t offer. This top just sounds too good to be true!
