Today’s blogiversary post is all about Bebe Au Lait. In case you don’t already know, Bebe Au Lait is the most well-know manufacturer of nursing covers. They have a unique, patented design to their covers which includes a stiff rim on the cover. This allows you to maintain eye contact with your baby while nursing. It also keeps the cover from sitting directly against your baby’s face – something most babies don’t like very much!
Bebe Au Lait was originally called Hooter Hiders when they first opened their business. They still manufacture nursing covers under both names as their are moms who have a preference for one or the other. Until recently, they used to make the same style covers under each name, so the covers were exactly the same, but the name on the tag differed. Now, they make different prints and styles of covers under the two different labels. The newest Hooter Hiders designs have a ruffle or pocket added to them for added flair and/or functionality.
In addition to nursing covers, over the last few years, Bebe Au Lait has also started to manufacture lots of accessories for your baby – from burb cloths to bibs to hooded towels – all in the same fantastic prints that the nursing covers come in. These sets make great baby shower gifts!
We have carried the Bebe Au Lait and Hooter Hiders covers and burp cloths in our Boutique Store since we first opened and we love them!! We hadn’t had a chance to stock up on some of the new styles with the ruffle or pocket yet, so Bebe Au Lait offered to send us one to try out. This cover is gorgeous! The colors are so vibrant and the ruffle just gives it an added flair!! I love the bold prints. Using a nursing cover isn’t about hiding the fact that you are breastfeeding – it’s just about giving moms who would like it – a little bit of privacy and discretion. So don’t hide the fact that you are breastfeeding – put on one of these bold prints and shout it out to the world!! “I’m breastfeeding my baby here!!”

I have never used a cover, just a blanket. These started getting really popular while I was bf my youngest and I’d love to try one out for our next little one! I think the Bebe Au Lait is a slightly less funny, but more attractive brand name
I Love the designs available for the Bebe Au Lait!
I have not yet used a nursing cover, as I am still pregnant, but I am definitely planning to nurse, and I would LOVE to have a privacy cover! While my husband would probably get a kick out of “Hooter Hiders”, I think I like the classier brand name of “Bebe Au Lait.”

I’ve tried to use a nursing cover a couple times but have rarely suceeded. I would like to try a hooter hiders nursing cover since they have the stiff rim and maybe my baby would cooperate with that a little more. I like the Hooter Hiders patterns better and the new ruffle trim as well!

I haven’t yet used a nursing cover as I’m still pregnant, but I plan on using one. I like the ones from Bebe Au Lait because of the fun designs and their functionality. Overall I’d say I prefer the name Bebe Au lait.
I bought a homemade nursing cover off of craigslist… it was horrid! The “boning” didn’t work at all and just got in the way. Plus it wasn’t big enough. The only thing it did was at least prevent my son from pulling it off me…
Er, so obviously the Bebe Au Lait ones are way better and I would love one! 😉 Count this as my second comment for having the blogiversary button on my blog!

I have never used a cover just because they are more expensive then I was able to afford last time I was nursing but I would love to have one this time around! I love the ruffled Hooter Hiders but would have to say that I like the Bebe Au Lait brand name better. Just more classy.

I have not used a nursing cover I’d like to try Bebe Au Lait because they offer an organic option. I’d love the Peacock Organic which I believe is from Hooter Hiders.

I could never have continued breastfeeding this long without my Bebe Au Lait. I have always felt odd about nursing in public and I have heard so many stories where mothers were asked to leave restaurants and public places. So, I purchased the lacey white one. It was perfect for the summer. It was light enough that my little guy could breathe and not get so sweaty and over heat. And it gave enough privacy that I could continue. I use it everywhere now! 😀 I wish that I had had one of these with my other two children.
Oh yes, I prefer Baby au Lait instead of calling it a Hooter Hider personally. I know that’s what lot of people call it, but I think B.A.L. is much better.
I like the Bebe Au Lait covers beause the pattern called Yoko is my favorite.
I just had a baby two weeks ago and have never used a nursing cover, but I would love to have one!

I have a nursing cover that I use at work. I did not used to use on but started after one of the male managers walked in on me while pumping. Since they are almost identical, I do not have a real preference but am leaning towards the Hooter Hider for the pocket.

I like the Bebe Au Lait brand name. I’ll admit that the name “Hooter Hiders” did make me smile when I first heard it, but the association with Hooters restaurant and the objectifying of breasts just makes me cringe. I like the product, just not the name! These nursing covers are beautiful. I have one from another brand that I received for free, not great quality. And the one I have is solid pink, which I would never choose for myself. My son is easily distracted and the nursing cover helps him nurse better when we’re out. It would be nice to have a good-quality, attractive one.

I haven’t used a nursing cover. I’ve had to get creative, by either wearing a larger shirt or I take a blanket and clip it with a hair clip to one shoulder and put her on then clip the other side. I really like the Bebe Au Lait ones.

I was given a nursing cover once, but it was so ugly I never used it. It looked like the nursing equivalent of a hospital gown. What I like about these is that they are so attractive. I would love to try out one of these– they aren’t a bit ugly.
I have used a nursing cover and LOVE them! I think the Bebe Au Lait covers offer more coverage & wash up better than other brands. I love the funny name of hooter hiders but have to say that Bebe Au Lait is a little classier and not so “in your face” to others.

I’ve never used a nursing cover but wish I had had one! Would love to have one with the next baby! I’d love the Bebe Au Lait brand.

I have never used one of these, but have wanted one for a while. My friend has one and loves it. I love the large cover area, boning to see baby, and strap around the neck. The Hooter Hiders with the ruffles are just so cute! I’d get a Hooter Hider, and then just call it a nursing cover… the name just doesn’t fit my style.

I love the stiff rim these have, I used another cover-up with my son, but it was always getting kicked off, and it was hard to see if he was latched on properly.
I love the name Hooter Hiders! So funny. …and easy to remember!

I used the Hooter Hider with my son. The best part is the stiff rim that allows for airflow and baby viewing. These are the best!!!

I’ve never used a cover but now that I’m coming up on baby #3 I’m going to need one! These are very stylish and cute—as for the name, Hooter Hiders always makes me smile, so I’m going to pick that one. Thanks!

I’ve never used an “official” nursing cover before–only a blanket. The reason I like the Bebe au Lait covers is that they are beautiful! And I love that the baby can’t pull it off you!

Thanks for the chance
