Koala Kin Hands-Free Nursing Pouch Giveaway

celebration

In honor of A Mother’s Boutique‘s 20,000th online order, we are hosting a series of giveaways to share our favorite products with you, our wonderful customers!

Today, we’re giving away one Koala Kin Hands-Free Nursing Pouch.

The Koala Kin is not a typical baby carrier–this isn’t something you’d reach for to wear your baby in the grocery store. It’s a hands-free nursing carrier that puts your baby in the optimal heart-to-heart position for nursing.mother wearing baby in Koala Kin nursing pouch

The Koala Kin was developed by a mom in Seattle who developed carpel tunnel syndrome (common for nursing moms!) so badly that she couldn’t hold her babies while nursing them. Her wrists ached too badly to support their body weight. The Koala Kin allows mothers to interact with their babies while nursing.

You can tickle baby’s toes, caress baby’s head, and let’s face it–many of us are multi-tasking while nursing. The Koala Kin allows moms to use a computer, push a stroller, or drink coffee while breastfeeding.

The carrier comes in 2 sizes. The small fits women from size 4-14 and the large is designed to fit moms sized 16 and up. The pouch for the baby also comes in two sizes based on baby’s length: small for babies birth to 24″ and large for babies 25″ and up. The Koala Kin can accommodate a baby up to 35#.

Judy loves this carrier because wearing it while breastfeeding is so simple. She says, “With a ring sling, you need to readjust the entire sling. With this pouch, you just unclip and flip the baby around.”

Of all the new products we’ve brought to A Mother’s Boutique, the Koala Kin sold out the fastest–this carrier sold out within minutes of Judy introducing it to the online shop. She says, “The Koala Kin is not meant to take away interaction with your baby. It’s meant to aid you in connecting with your baby.” Instead of thinking about the logistics of a position or hold, moms can concentrate on being with their babies.

This is brilliant! I’ve gotten pretty good at positioning pillows so that I could work hands-free when needed, but this pouch would be a huge upgrade to my current solution!

Wow. If nothing else, all these giveaways are teaching me about products I never knew about. This would be nice for when my baby gets too big for the nursing pillow. :)
