Hug Your Little Ones

(and big ones too!)

In the aftermath of the tragedy in CT on Friday, we all feel empty and helpless. Words can not erase our memories and can not comfort the losses.

I find myself glued to the news reports and internet posts about those who have been lost. I find myself brought back to another fateful Christmas in my own past – when tragedy struck.

Find comfort in your families, find solace in the love that you share. Find peace in the time as it passes.

Because I have no words of my own, I leave you with these words from one of the World’s Greatest:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.” — Mister Rogers
